Introduction

Paul Cassel lives with his family in a well-to-do street in Salzburg. His father has gone to work in his shop in the city centre, taking his older brothers along. There is no school today, so Paul will be spending the day at home with mum.

Just like yesterday. And the day before that. And the day before that.

A street trader rings a handbell. Mum hands Paul some coins, and he rushes outside to buy pastries from the baker's cart.

Paul is followed out of the door by a horde of sailors.

Where did those sailors come from? Why is there an ominous creaking of timbers from the attic? And given that Salzburg is landlocked, where did they park their ship?

Notes

A short (approx. 2 hour) roleplaying scenario suitable for beginners and experienced players alike. You will be provided with a character.

If you have an existing low or medium-level character who has a valid reason for being at sea, you may use that character instead. However the game may not be playable unless you are gentle gifted or able to overcome your strangeness in some other way.

Depending on your character, you may have some secret notes on your character sheet. Please do not share these secrets with other players before the start of the game, and avoid telling other attendees any spoilers if they might participate in a second playthrough.
